The Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) stage is a progressive drive adopted by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in joint efforts with branchless banking (BB) suppliers, telecom administrators and other improvement accomplices. The AMA phase has been dispatched under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) which means working with the broad masses, especially the low wage sections, carefully opening their BB records and availing the available money management in a quick, simple and sensible manner. .
How does the AMA work?
Through the Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) phase, any Pakistani who holds a significant CNIC can carefully open a passbook in any AMA participating bank, from anywhere, anytime using the SIM card of any all-rounder. The plan allows people to reach the AMA stage using a short code i.e. *2262# and make exchanges through their basic/smart mobile phone without the requirement of a web network.
